TN UNEMPLOYMENT: Only 3% of the jobs posted on Tennessee's website pay $20,000 or more. The federal poverty line for a family of three is just under $22,000. https://t.co/X5grnejrl1
Wait....wait...wait...What happened to, "No one wants to work"????? Are those who continue that trope misinformed, out of touch, or attempting to pass along a false narrative for some other reason? Hmmm....
@RobertBolandESQ My feeling is NCAA was, at one time, hoping to get something passed similar to the way Minor League Baseball deal got done. Many see these issues (Comp & NIL/Pay) as an issue owned & exacerbated by Emmert & NCAA and expect them to find a way out after ignoring it for decades
@RobertBolandESQ It's true they may not support collective bargaining , but with some coaches, like Geno Auriema, now calling for it perhaps they will be swayed?
@RobertBolandESQ @Fla_Pol I really don't think this issue hinges on the election. Without Chevron, it's up to Congress. Whatever/Whenever they act, the courts will get involved. The NCAA typically loses and the Supremes have heavily favored the athletes in their previous decisions. The path is set
@StadiumShadow There is simply no way that this election will tip the scales of athlete pay in the NCAA. Many high profile coaches are already referring to them as "employees." My guess is this article is written to influence an election rather raise a substantial issue
@StadiumShadow That's my point. Who hasn't successfully sued the NCAA? Even I earned money as part of the Restricted Earnings Coach class action suit from the 80's. See, it's not just the players who the NCAA has been losing comp lawsuits to over the years
@RBR_Daily Two veteran drivers whose teams are seemingly satisfied with their mediocre results are telling a young and hungry kid who's fighting for his professional life to not race them so hard. LOL Fight on Liam!!
