On January 20, 2013, Fnatic’s xPeke ended a League of Legends match against SK Gaming by sneaking into the base alone.
He destroyed the Nexus while the enemy team tried to recall and stop him.
The play became known simply as “the xPeke.”

#DirectAN
Boba Fett’s reintroduction in the second season of The Mandalorian will forever be one of my favorite sequences in recent Star Wars.
In less than two minutes, we’re finally visually shown WHY Boba was so highly regarded by his employers, and widely seen as the best Bounty Hunter in the galaxy.
Robert Rodriguez’s directing here was nothing short of perfection. I’ll never forget watching this moment for the first time back in 2021.
«The Black Hole» is an international prize winner short film that offers a portrait of temptation and greed from a genuinely sci-fi point of view.

My comment on “MARS EXPRESS,” opening in theaters across Japan on January 30, 2026 (Fri).
This is it!
The look, design, world-building, story, theme, authorial voice.
It evokes the hard Sci-Fi anime that I love – the ones released in the ‘80s and ‘90s during the OVA boom from the likes of Mamoru Oshii, Yoshiaki Kawajiri, and Satoshi Kon!
These pioneers enlightened the “otaku,” who were “minorities” in Japan, with their genius and scattered the seeds of “OTAKU” culture across the world.
It is a form of animation that emerged only in that special era – something neither “live-action” nor “cartoon” but our “Japanimation!”
This film is exactly that.
It is a rare anime that could never emerge from streaming services or even from modern Japan.
This French anime is something we ought to support and protect at all costs.
The animated music video for Pearl Jam - Do the Evolution was co-directed by Todd McFarlane and Kevin Altieri. McFarlane, creator of the comic Spawn and producer of its HBO animated adaptation, brought the dark, visceral tone, while Altieri — a key figure behind Batman: The Animated Series — handled the narrative design and storyboards. The production was led by Epoch Ink Animation, working with a large international team of artists specialized in adult animation.
The idea originated with Eddie Vedder, who wrote the lyrics alongside Stone Gossard and wanted a video that did not feature the band, opting instead for a fully conceptual approach. Inspired by Spawn, Vedder shared visual references with McFarlane, shaping the project into an allegory of human evolution. The video was created using traditional 2D animation, with hand-drawn and hand-painted cels, reinforcing its raw, symbolic aesthetic and aligning with the social critique at the core of the song by Pearl Jam.
