😂 No, we didn’t have any pet dinosaurs. They were too expensive to feed and needed too much space. The liability insurance alone cost more than a mortgage. We did have playgrounds, didn’t wear helmuts, stayed outside to play, were fit and thin, drank water from the hose, memorized all our friends’ phone numbers, knew how to fight, how to carry on a conversation in a group of people and weren’t offended by others’ having different opinions, we listened to sports on the radio and could maintain an attention span for more than 30 seconds, we listened to real music from talented musicians, to name a few of the differences.

I concur completely! Host nation playing in the World Cup, billions watching and you put a mid MLS team on the field. No continuity or momentum. Coach waited too late to put subs in. Why 10 changes (Pepi is not a starter)? Our level of talent is thin; Türkiye exposed our weaknesses to our next opponents.

@Bsaturno9 @USMNT This captures it well. Also, coaching decisions were down. Why 10 changes (I don’t consider Pepi a starter)? They had no DM. The back line was a joke. Every game matters on the world’s biggest sporting event. Now they have to get momentum back.

@Trtllvr @ManagerTactical He was offside and unaware a few times. He couldn’t move when he had the ball, his first touch was heavy. I think being on the left side didn’t help. Weah and Aronson did nothing to widen the field.

I didn’t say to put in the 4 starters with yellows. That’s 4 changes. Pochettino made 10 (Pepi is not a starter). The host nation in the biggest sporting event puts an MLS team on the field at the World Cup. There was no continuity; the defense was embarrassing. Only Spain and France can make 10 changes and still be competitive.

Pochettino made 9/10 changes. Do you see any other team doing this for game #3? This is not setting your team up to win. Several MLS players who shouldn’t even be on the field at this level of competition. We were embarrassed! The defense was a joke, especially on the last sequence. This is the product that you put on the field in front of the whole world? This exposed all of our weaknesses. The US are an average team The only way we can compete at this level and go far at this tournament is with momentum and confidence.

Look at it this way . . . the US is hosting the World Cup for the first time in 32 years. We had a decent draw into our group. Being at home is a huge advantage. It’s an opportunity to invite in more future fans and to build on the momentum and excitement. Instead, it was an uneccesary flop. Too many changes (10, I think). He didn’t setup the team to win.

This loss is all on Pochettino. Very poor coaching all along. This loss ends the momentum and exposes the teams’s biggest weakness - the back line. He waited until too late in the game to put good subs into the game (85th minute). They will be tentative and have less confidence as a team. If they don’t go far, it will be 100% due to this game.
