People on here are ridiculous. If you actually got off the couch, wiped off the Dorito dust, mobilized and tried to effect the change you seek, things might actually get accomplished. But it’s easier to bitch and moan and hope someone else makes things happen for you.
@RachelBitecofer “Opportunities abroad?” That’s just pathetic. It’s not even 24 hours since she lost, and you’re already high-tailing it? 🤣 “Screw you peasants, it’s Paris for me!”
@jaketapper Jake, the vast majority of journalists aren’t doing that now, & haven’t for quite some time. National press fancies themselves as celebrities building their “brand” and don’t want to upset their billionaire bosses, so they compromise themselves on a regular basis. Sad, but true.
@RachelBitecofer Is it just me, or do you feel like Silver gets so irritated by the criticism he gets from hand-wringing Dems that he just trolls them with all the “Trump may very well win!” or “Shoulda picked Shapiro!” posts he does?
@loyalnyjetfans Instead of bringing traffic to his Insta, here’s the deal. Look, he’s done a fun bit for years, but he’s gotten WAY more run than he deserves & it’s clearly gone to his head. I’m sure Woody Johnson has bigger concerns than Fireman Ed’s screen time.🙄

@GregTSargent@Jon_Allsop Greg, I’ve seen many columns discussing this, but almost zero explaining WHY the media is doing this other than “it’s their ham fisted way of trying to be balanced.” To many of the 99% people that aren’t journalists, however, it seems like propping up DJT is just good business.
@dick_nixon It’s about winning. Either Trump is an existential threat or he’s not. She may win with or without Shapiro, but if it’s with him it’s not some sort of asterisk. Who cares? The goal is to win. You, of course, would know that. You sound like a playwright from NJ or something, sir.
@dick_nixon Maybe, but on this site there’s a lot of watermelon emojis with “We can’t have a Jew that close to the presidency” sentiments. Now granted, prob 85% of them don’t have a personal connection to Gaza or Palestinians, but are basically Anti-Semitic cosplayers in keffiyehs.
@JoeBanner13 I dunno Joe, it’ll make a lot of people with watermelon emojis very upset, and we can’t have that. Also, might lead to graffiti and flag burning, which historically really makes people want to join their cause.
