The results from the recent swell at #DixonPark. The wooden stairs hadn’t been uncovered since I was in Nippers, now almost gone! A reliable source (dad) says he sat on the rocks in 78 before a surf and they were covered in early 80s. Check out the magazine’s date from the dune👀

It’s not always blue skies and sunshine for @UON_research #fieldwork - sometimes it happens to be during a major rain event - but you’ve got to make do so instead of a swash experiment we’re now getting water level data in the Crooked River Inlet.

By deploying pressure sensors offshore, we can measure unbroken/breaking waves and connect with nearshore water levels. Here is @TomNewmanUoN positioning a sensor for us to survey from shore. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it! @scienceathon @daysofscience
