So pleased to announce that I’ve been accepted for a @NIHRresearch PCAF award @NHS_HealthEdEng @Pure_Physio! Wouldn’t have been possible without Prof James Selfe, @RachelChesterPT and @dt_hughes. Looking forward to the next 2 years! Grateful for all those that supported me!
What a day it was yesterday @runnorwich! 12th/7671 - 34.07 & a 1 min 53 course PB. So good to be able to do it with good mates and a huge thank you to everyone who cheered me on!! The best 10k hands down for atmosphere… not sure about the course profile though ⬆️🏔️!! Top 5 NY 🧐
Really happy to share I’ve been offered a place on the Pre-Doc Bridging award programme @ClacEast off the back of my PCAF award! Applied for this unsuccessfully before. 4 years later, 2 fellowships, a MSc and a lot of work! @RachelChesterPT@Pure_Physio @UEA_Health @dt_hughes
Start if this years @Pure_Physio@readysetgojoe challenge #teamantelope! Safe to say I won’t be matching 2021’s episode of running 600km in a month. Normal training this month - 2 races coming up next 2 weeks. Reedham 10miles on Sunday and Valentines 10k. #letsgo
10k steps per day is often quoted as as a physical activity goal. However for the most sedentary groups, this can seem like a daunting task. It is essential that we are very clear with people that benefits of being active happen well before 10k steps.

Why are we doing this? Thread 🧵1/4
@AdamMeakins No power calc reported. UV sig too narrow (P=0.10); arbitrarily
removes several candidates from full model e.g, diabetes (likely confounder) not included in MV (should consult literature). Imprecise effect estimate from wide CI’s. =likely ⬆️ spurious 💉effect estimate..🧐
@darabseh_moh Crazy! Journals should be rethinking this approach to make it easier for scientists to submit and publish research that is up to standard… not harder 🤯🤯🤯 it’s hard enough as it is!!
After waiting 3 months for PLOS to reply to our manuscript submission, turns out they couldn’t get anyone to review it. VERY frustrating. Let’s hope we have better luck with Physiotherapy Theory and Practice; manuscript submitted ✅🤞🏼
