Don’t be afraid to challenge the proposed fees,especially editorial, especially big corporations who don't care to pay illustrators more than they did 10 years go.

$350-450 from LA Times, The New York Times etc is not acceptable anymore, sorry

@nicole_rifkin I personally think $400 is still too low unless you are doing a spot. At least for a NY based illustrator. I stopped taking projects under $1000
