Can the responsibility for road construction/maintenance in the Roads Division and the responsibility for Quality Verification/Certification of the very same works be assigned to the same officer?
If both charges are held by one officer, how can the independence and impartiality of Quality Control be ensured?
If the officer supervising or getting the road work executed is also responsible for certifying its quality, where is the mechanism for independent quality verification?
Shouldn’t NDMC have separate officers responsible for road execution and quality verification, along with an independent quality-control mechanism, to ensure transparency, accountability and credibility? @tweetndmc@dwivedimk_ias
Vigilance on the Ground. Prevention All Around.
NDMC teams continue to strengthen Vector-Borne Disease (VBD) prevention through regular on-ground inspections and monitoring of vulnerable locations across different areas.
During these inspections, potential risk areas are being closely assessed, with notices issued wherever necessary to ensure timely corrective and preventive action. No vector breeding has been found at the sites inspected so far.
Preventing vector-borne diseases begins with awareness and everyday responsibility. Stay alert, prevent water stagnation, and keep your surroundings clean.
Small preventive steps can make a big difference in protecting public health.

Delhi must build, but it must also preserve!
As India advances towards Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji's vision of #ViksitBharat2047, Delhi must demonstrate how development can go hand in hand with environmental restoration and heritage conservation.
The Master Plan for Delhi 2047 provides an opportunity to place these principles at the heart of the capital’s future.
My views on #MPD2047 in today's @the_hindu and @IndianExpress.

Hon’ble LG Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu’s vision of a “Green-Blue Infrastructure” for Delhi is both timely and compelling. But the real test of Vision 2047 lies in measurable outcomes today.
The stated targets—1,700 hectares of Yamuna floodplain restoration, 7,784 hectares of Ridge restoration and management plans for 1,500 heritage assets—raise an equally important question: how much has actually been restored, protected and made functional on the ground?
Delhi’s own government records cite STP augmentation/upgradation and new sewer infrastructure.
Perhaps the strongest roadmap to a resilient Delhi is one where every ambitious target is matched by a public, independently verifiable ground-audit.
Vision gives direction. Evidence gives it credibility. @LtGovDelhi
“A Viksit Dilli must do more than grow. It must breathe better, live healthier, and honour the heritage that gives it a soul.”
Shared my thoughts in @timesofindia and @NewIndianXpress on building an interconnected Green-Blue network and a dynamic heritage economy under MPD-2047.

Why shouldn’t the ₹68.68 crore NDMC Property Tax matter involving Property ID P-9373, Seat No. 9 be independently investigated?
The records raise a striking question:
If the 2016 Notice-72 record already showed an RV of ₹21.03 crore, how did the same property’s RV fall to just ₹96.26 lakh on 04 May 2026—and then return to ₹21.03 crore on 20 August 2026?
That is a variation of approximately ₹20.07 crore within the records.
During this period, the posting/work-allocation records of Shri Sumit Kumar Sharma, Sr. Asstt., Emp. Code 314196, associated with Seat No. 9, also warrant scrutiny.
The key questions are simple:
Which User ID changed the RV? When was the concerned system ID/access activated? Who authorized the change? Under which order? What happened between 04 May and 20 August 2026? And how did the subsequent assessment result in a Demand of ₹68.68 crore?
NDMC should make the complete system audit trail, user-access logs, assessment file, noting sheets, work-allocation records and relevant orders available for an independent examination.
This is not about presuming anyone’s guilt. It is about establishing how a property recorded at ₹21.03 crore in 2016 came to show ₹96.26 lakh in May 2026 and ₹21.03 crore again in August 2026.
The records should speak. The audit trail should speak. Let the facts come out. @dwivedimk_ias@tweetndmc@tweetndmc

My report—“47.56 lakh names removed from Delhi’s electoral roll.” The figures emerging from the SIR exercise have now become a matter of intense discussion around Delhi’s voter list.

🌸 Pink Toilets — A Step Towards Safer, Cleaner & More Dignified Public Spaces for Women 🌸
NDMC is committed to providing clean, hygienic, safe and women-friendly sanitation facilities across the NDMC area. Pink Toilets have been introduced to cater to the specific needs of women.
These facilities are equipped with sanitary napkin vending machines, hand dryers, soap dispensers and dedicated baby-feeding spaces, ensuring greater convenience, hygiene and privacy for women and mothers.
Regular inspections by NDMC officials are being carried out to ensure that toilet seats, floors, wash areas, doors, mirrors and other facilities are maintained in clean and hygienic conditions, while the availability of liquid soap and other essential amenities is also monitored.
A clean public toilet is not merely a sanitation facility—it is a reflection of a city’s respect for women, public health and human dignity.
