We simply can't get enough of these spectacular images of the Aurora over Northumberland National Park, showing why we have the most ‘pristine dark skies’ in England. Here's a handful of fantastic pictures we have seen shared, don't forget to tag us in your photos!
There was an 'end of the season' feel to Low Newton this morning. It's wonderful seeing families enjoying the beautiful #Northumberland coastline but I also enjoy this tipping point when sea and sand begin to lose human presence 😀
Recently, we hosted a group of @newcastleuni students who had never visited Northumberland National Park before. The group was organised and led by one of our volunteers, Anette, who is a lecturer at Newcastle University.
Isn't this just BEAUTIFUL!
This stunning picture of Harebells and Cat's Ears in full flower in this upland grassland in Harthope Valley was taken by ranger Shaun. In this area, the grazing has been reduced, providing multiple benefits for the plants, allowing them to flower.
We continue to be gifted these amazing views of the Aurora and long may it continue. This photo from Steel Rigg captures a beautiful moment of the meteors from the Perseid meteor shower shooting through the sky as the Northern Lights dance in the night sky.
