A real examination of Rugby's rules in the 2nd #LionsSA2021 test, lucky we had @Nigelrefowens in the commentary box to untangle it.
Insightful, impartial and a natural behind the mic - good to hear you've not lost the wit and humour I loved to hear when you were on-field :)👍
@martinfowler So much in this resonates thanks for sharing Martin.
More than that thank you for everything you've ever shared, I've learnt stacks from you and you've helped gazillions of us have a more enjoyable work-life.
Gotta take care of yourself tho, we'll still find your ideas :)

@gasparnagy
@TG2G @TheTestDoctor @mcgovernaine@ewebber @DanAshby04 @a_bangser ...and also being English is increasingly starting to feel like someone dressed as you just knocked over the kids Xmas choir, destroying the charity raffle cakes and shorting the electrics which burned the building down...
@TG2G @TheTestDoctor @mcgovernaine@ewebber @DanAshby04 @a_bangser Hahaha I did like the lookalike and I'm sure folks realise you didn't mean anything untoward chap, it is quite complicated.
Great Britain is Eng,Scot,Wales; UK = +N.Ireland; British Isles = +Eire (I think....maybe)
You might just need to tweak the phrasing of the joke 😂
@TheTestDoctor @TG2G @mcgovernaine@ewebber @DanAshby04 @a_bangser Having a northern family I claim some Celtic (or is it Gaelic) heritage.....tho I also claim some Danish...and Norwegian...and German, French, Roman..and....
@TheTestDoctor @ewebber@a_bangser @TG2G @mcgovernaine @DanAshby04 Good bit of trivia knowledge mate, had no idea he was "lead vocals" on button moon :-)
@TheTestDoctor @a_bangser @TG2G @ewebber@mcgovernaine @DanAshby04 Tough question on the Wombles mind, I only remember Orinoco, Tobermory and Uncle Bulgaria...mind you I was more of a Bagpuss fan....loved that saggy old cloth cat...
@Zachariahskylab@ScottAdamsSays Was trying to think what level of variance would be common for elections?
Industrial orgs ave 3-4sigma, not sure it's a fair comparison but didnt find any closer:
For 154mill votes
4 Sigma = 0.62% error = 1 million defects
3 Sigma = 6.7% error = 10 mill
What no. = Fraud?
@Zachariahskylab@ScottAdamsSays Right. And presumably court ruling will need to consider defect rates in elections? Been wondering about that...
I wonder what number of errors would indicate special cause variation - i.e. variation not from the natural reliability of the counting process?
