I love how Rian Johnson has said Glass Onion isn't really about Musk (seems to be closer to Zuck) but all Elon's fans are like "no no, it is about a billionaire who is actually a huge fucking idiot. We know our guy when we see him. 0/5 stars. Worst movie ever."
With THE WHALE and WOMEN TALKING underperforming it closes the worst possible year for indie cinema. It's a bleak future that we can only salvage by buying tickets, leaving the couch, and going to the theater. Make this your New Year's resolution.
Sometimes I’ll just be going about my day and I will remember that Twin Peaks: The Return exists and feel grateful. David Lynch & Mark Frost could have just leaned on nostalgia & pleased people, but that would’ve been anathema to them. They made something challenging & new.
I regret to inform you that “Glass Onion” is actively bad. I will discuss first the actual writing of the movie followed by the politics of it. Both suck. SPOILERS follow.
Don’t really care about the box office for BABYLON. The people who love the movie, love the movie.
