@melissamedinavo@yh_audios Couldn't agree with this more. Unless you're hanging with them at a workout group, being around other VAs won't necessarily sharpen the knife.
When you're starting out and hitting a dry spell, it can also be tempting to assign expectations to gatherings.
@SoCassandra I agree with this to an extent but burnout can happen even when working on something you love. It's important for actors to feel like they can step away and take a break from the grind if needed instead of pushing to avoid feeling ungrateful.
@melissamedinavo I wanted to be a voice actor since the 4th grade. Only thing I ever really had an interest in. My boy wants to be a ninja scientist. There's still time for him... 🤣
