@jblindsey731 A clear shared vision on technology integration is key indeed. You mention buy in from the teachers and admin. I like how our Digital Leadership book replaces the phrase “buy in” with “embracement”. The change occurs when the stakeholders embrace the vision. #KSUITEC7410
Professional development focused on the implementation of technology to enhance student learning is critical. Using computers as a substitution method is ineffective; redefinition of tasks is of great importance. #KSUITEC7410
@cyarbr28_KSU I couldn't agree more. PBLs allow students to engage in courageous conversations, raise awareness, take action, and hopefully make a difference. Technology can help make this opportunity applicable for all. #KSUITEC7410
"Just because you purchase the latest technology doesn't mean everyone will use it correctly or productively". The students at my school have been equipped with laptops as we are now 1:1. Some teachers are at the "now what" stage. PD is key!

@wood2_ae@jblindsey731@cyarbr28_KSU A5: I have used OneNote but do not love it. My notebook is created using a PPT template that I save to OneDrive. Using GoogleSlides is cool too. I just hyperlink items into it.
In Cobb, we use the CTLS platform for students to access our class resources online. I have a digital notebook set up with tabs for days of the week that my students can access for resources, videos, games, etc. It seems to be easy for them to use.
@LSmithems6@jblindsey731@cyarbr28_KSU@ZacharyBarfield@dorothy_solsten@christiharp I can relate to this. Sometimes we have to sacrifice a day just for training but I believe it is worth it for a tool that will be utilized throughout the school year. Hopefully, your school has a helpful TIS who is happy to come in and train students.
Read how @StrategistEdu, assistant superintendent of transformation @RSSchoolsNC, created an edtech playground where teachers can explore and try out new tools.
