@PatriotHQ Property taxes fund local services. Exempting one of the wealthiest age demographics just shifts the burden onto younger working families. Might be a different story if it exempted properties under x value like median home cost for a county or state but even that creates issues.

@TheICHpodcast Saying the top 1% pay 40%+ of taxes ignores marginal utility. Losing 30% of $50k and 30% of $50M are completely different realities. It also ignores how much wealth at the top is structured through stocks, unrealized gains, and compensation strategies that lower taxable income.
