No outs, grounder to 3B. PCA drifts down the line equidistant with the fielder's distance from the bag and stares him down — coiled to score the instant a throw goes to 1B. So it doesn't. The standoff takes the out away. This is how a runner should play it, even if only a bluff.

Put it together, one continuous move from secondary to first step with momentum, eyes up find the ball, tight turns, back door slide. Good base-running gives you opportunity and chances to win games

2 ball machine DP turns. Now my second baseman are working on reading the throw and around the bag with pivots or come across’. Mixing in a flip and a throw. Both side being athletic. “Throw from the catch”

Another variation you can do with corner INF's is making them get closer to the wall and having them react and for the middle guys further back to work on rhythm and tempo. For this drill set I'm using tennis balls and racquet balls.
