I built a free Chrome extension that checks if AI crawlers can actually read your website.
One click gives you a score and a fix list: AI bot rules in robots.txt, llms.txt, structured data, content hidden behind JavaScript.
Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to me.
Lesson from week 1 of running a paid Chrome extension:
One of my two AI engines failed silently for 10 days. Cause: the API account had no valid payment method on file, even with credits left.
Now there's a health check. Check your billing pages, folks.
No subscription. $9 for one report, credits never expire.
Reports show what the engines answered at that moment. Answers change, so it's a snapshot, not a ranking.

Feedback very welcome, it's day one.

The paid part answers the question I really cared about:
When someone asks an AI "what's the best tool for X", is my product in the answer?
Enter your brand + 3-5 real customer questions. It asks AI answer engines and shows who gets named instead.

Got my first Chrome extension through review.
Things I didn't expect:
- you must justify every single permission in writing
- a public "trader" declaration with your real address
- the reviewer needs a test key for paid features
Approved in two days.
Tiny lesson from building a Chrome extension:
Ask for fewer permissions. Mine only uses activeTab, scripting and storage. No "read all websites" access.
Users trust it more, and the store review is supposed to go faster.
Building AI Seen Score: a Chrome extension that checks if AI answer engines mention your brand, which competitors they name instead, and what makes your site hard for AI to read.
Launching in November. Sharing the whole build here.
