I was a radio presenter and live on air in May 2023 when I had to break the news that Lee Rigby had been brutally murdered by this man and his accomplice in Woolwich. They used this machete to try to behead Rigby.
13 long years later, no lessons have been learned by the authorities. None at all.
🚨BREAKING: Miguel Bosé, the biggest Spanish-language pop star of the last few decades, has just released a video taking a knee and putting his hand over his heart in honour of Henry Nowak
This has now spread like a wildfire. Europe has never been more UNITED! 🇪🇸🇬🇧
People around the world are protesting, taking the knee, and holding memorials for Henry Nowak.
Meanwhile, in Henry’s home country, police will beat you in the street or lock you up for doing the same.
Britain is cooked.
Six weeks.
SIX FLIPPING WEEKS.
Lucy has not heard our voices. She hasn't slept on her rug. She hasn't gone for a ride in the truck. She hasn't been snuggled by her family, played with Lex, or run free in her own field.
SIX WEEKS.
She's been locked in a tiny cell, sleeping on concrete, likely wondering why we abandoned her.
SIX WEEKS.
She's eleven years old. She doesn't have endless time ahead of her. She could get sick. Her health could fail. Every day matters.
And while everyone moves at a snail's pace, without a care in the world, time keeps slipping away from MY DOG—the dog who was taken because a petty neighbor decided to call the authorities when she slipped out of her collar in our OWN YARD!
This wasn't some outrageous act! This wasn't a purposeful violation of anything and didn’t cause incident. This wasn't the terrifying incident the neighbors or government would like people to believe it was.
It was a normal, everyday occurrence that happened on our private property!
We could have lied. We could have denied it happened. No one had proof otherwise:
But that's not who we are.
So for six weeks, my Lucy—my eleven-year-old dog who stood watch over our family through deployment after deployment, who kept me company during the lonely nights when I watched the news and wondered if my husband would make it home alive—has sat in prison.
This is a sick abuse of the law, and an innocent animal is paying the price.
Not for biting someone.
Not for attacking someone.
Not for leaving and roaming the neighborhood.
For being in her own yard.
Let that sink in.
And because malicious neighbors refused to mind their own business, and because officials with the power to do the right thing have refused to exercise any bit of common sense, she remains there.
They make me sick.
The abuse of power makes me sick.
The character assassination makes me sick.
The lies make me sick.
The fact that people who have never met us, never spoken to us, and don't know the first thing about our family have spent years trying to destroy our peace makes me sick.
Enough is enough!
Let Lucy come home already! Is this really the hill anyone wants to die on? It’s a single dog. It’s an average family. Send her back and leave us alone. That’s all we want.
And for those who have participated in this injustice—whether through malice, cowardice, pride, or indifference, know this:
God sees every bit of it.
He knows the truth.
And one day, every one of us will answer to Him.
Until our Lucy is home and beyond. We will not stop fighting.

.@brendanmjones One month ago, our world absolutely shattered.
One month ago, authorities came onto our property and stole our dog after a brief leash slip and a neighbor reporting it. One month ago, I stood in my driveway completely heartbroken, angry in a way I had never experienced before, watching them drive away with a dog we had loved for 10 years. I cussed. My children cried. My husband went silent. His heart broke more than any of ours. The dog he had bonded with in war, who had helped him heal and come back to us, was gone.
One month ago, two years of harassment, court visits, dozens of police calls to our home, intimidation and alienation all came crashing down. For one brief moment, it felt like they had finally succeeded in their vile plan—breaking us to the point that we would give up and leave.
And somehow, through all of this pain, God has done something absolutely incredible.
One month ago, the fight began.
What was meant to destroy our family has instead united us, strengthened our marriage, deepened our faith, and connected us with millions of beautiful and amazing people across this country and around the world!
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28
Our sweet Lucy—our Pearl of the Desert—has become something so much bigger than we ever imagined. She has become a symbol of ordinary people coming together, standing beside one another, and refusing to stay silent in the face of injustice, intimidation, and government overreach.
Today, we realize the incredible change Lucy’s story is already bringing into the world around us. And while we never would have chosen for it to be us, the Lord clearly saw fit for it to be so—our story, our family, our Lucy.
And so today, we are more determined than ever that this fight will continue—even after she comes home to us, which deep in my heart I absolutely believe she will.
Because Lucy’s story is going to inspire real change.
Change that protects ordinary families. Change that exposes the cracks in a system that too often allows good people to be intimidated, harassed, and pushed to the breaking point simply for living and raising their families how they best see fit. Change that helps protect dogs from being unfairly labeled and unnecessarily separated from the families who love them. Change that helps ensure no family is ever forced to endure this kind of heartbreak, fear, and exhaustion again.
We still have a long road ahead. But today, we no longer feel powerless.
Today, we fight with purpose.
BRING LUCY HOME.

*photo of Lucy and her two best friends, Brendan and Lex*. All three are my “military rescues”, and I love them dearly.
This post is getting a lot of new eyes on the case of Lucy, the dog I brought back from a war zone ten years ago. I would love to take the time to answer everyone's questions. Truly. I am so grateful for your time and attention to the plight of my dog.
But I don't have time. Not today. I've got four kids I'm taking care of by myself, while my wife, @Herb_Minstrel, is out for a hike this weekend. I'm also trying to run a business. So I thought it might help to post the full backstory here. I appreciate you all.
God bless each of you.

It has now been one month since Lucy's collar slipped over her head. One month since she was loose in my yard for a few seconds. One month since nobody got hurt. One month since nothing happened.
It has also been one month since the police were called. One month since animal control issued me a court summons. One month since they took my dog, the dog I bonded with in war ten years ago. One month since my world turned into a living hell.
It has been one month since nothing happened. And it has been one month since everything happened, in response to nothing.
She has spent one month in jail. Over nothing. Away from everything. One month away from her fields. Away from Lex. Away from the kids. Away from @Herb_Minstrel and me.
Let her come home. It's been long enough. It's time. It's damn time.

I have nothing more to say.

🚨 BREAKING: POLISH MEP DOMINIK TARSKIŃSKI SAYS HE WILL SUE KEIR STARMER AFTER BEING BARRED FROM ENTERING THE UK
“I was travelling on a diplomatic passport… he banned me from coming to Britain.”
The Polish politician claims the move was politically motivated and says legal action is coming:
“Starmer is done… I’m going to sue him.”
He also used the interview to defend Poland’s hard-line stance on illegal migration, arguing tougher border controls have contributed to lower levels of terrorism and violent crime compared with parts of Western Europe.
His central accusation:
Has Britain reached a point where elected foreign politicians can be blocked over political views?
If true, critics say that raises serious questions around free speech, diplomacy and democratic norms.
Expect this story to escalate.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for being the reason they’re still here. 🐾 #StreetDogs #DogRescue #SaveStrayDogs #AnimalRescue

One man and his dog are about to walk hundreds of miles from the tip of Scotland to Land’s End in Cornwall in aid of a new group which aims to support the rehabilitation and responsible ownership of pets.
Paul Watson, who lives at Pickwell, is starting his gruelling 1,200-mile challenge this week at John O’Groats and will be accompanied every step of the way by his faithful collie, Moss.
The aim is to raise £2,000 for the Rutland-based Corner Meadow Animal Rehabilitation (CMAR), a community benefit society which will be launched at the end of next month.
