Just a heads up for #PALADIN users, I've updated PALADIN-plugins to support the new Uniprot API. TSV report generation will now work again. I will be updating PALADIN itself soon with the same fix, stay tuned! #metagenomics https://t.co/xHeWanLJKe
@brockgs Unfortunately, $75 for a 5.25 (1.2MB) drive is about average these days. You can find tested ones as low as $50 on ebay, but since they're out of production the prices have gone up. I just built a kryoflux station and paid about $50. In any case, good luck in your search!
One of the multiplayer minigames in our dialup BBS themed #RPG sim is a fun take on flashlight tag: explore a dark maze, grab power-ups, and try to shine your light on other players until they're no longer hidden! #screenshotsaturday#retrogaming#ANSI#ASCII#gamedev#indiedev
A quick demo of Cloudburst Connection development so far. Nothing like that sweet melody of a dial-up modem connecting at 2400 BPS! Here's a small taste of connecting to an in-game BBS, playing some Blackjack, and then using text paint. #IndieGameDev#madewithunity#retrogaming
Check out our new game in development, Cloudburst Connection! Explore life running a dial-up Bulletin Board System (#BBS) in the 1980s. Build & visit boards and interact with your users in this #RPG simulation! #indiegame#80s#RetroComputing https://t.co/ScgsydaQPA
Sad to see Masayuki Uemura has died, he was responsible for a lot of great childhood memories. After implementing an NES compatible system in an FPGA last year, I gained a lot of respect for the technical achievements that he and his team accomplished.
Does anyone have any rough statistics on how many university #HPC environments have at least one centrally managed #Anaconda installation? @anacondainc
@davidmt Played a bit of this over lunch today - the new "modern" mode with scrolling and new artwork is a really cool addition. For only a few bucks it's definitely worth it!
@eobet @davidmt @C64Retweets Oh wow, thanks for the heads up, I just bought it on Steam! I also originally pirated this back in the day before I knew better (copied a floppy with a mix of games on it from a friend). Nice that he added Steam achievements to it too!
Finally added an #FTDI#UART to my #FPGA designs for debugging. I feel really dumb for waiting years to do it, it took no time to do and now I can send to the PC at 1Mbps. Way easier than signaltap or 7seg. Anyone have any debugging methods they like? (Photo: MIDI data)
@davidmt One of my favs, I played this all the time in the arcades growing up and on my mame cabinet now. I've always loved the beautiful isometric graphics.
