Lots & lots of applause for our young musicians! 🎻🎺 From their first notes to a full performance, they’ve shown that anything is possible with passion and the right support. Huge thanks to @jmpcummings@lmto_official for inspiring and accompanying them on this amazing journey!
Lovely to see some fantastic feedback from some partner schools through the Behaviour Hub on display at the Lead Conference today. @ChallneyBoys@ChilternLT#behaviourhub
@tombennett71 Schools that participated in the programme generally had a lack in systems that left many behaviours unchecked or tracked. Hence wanting the programme support. With the implementation of new processes the behaviour is more likely just being tracked better.
The third and final sports day! Well done to all pupils that took part in our track day. You all showed exactly what it is to be apart of team Challney Boys! Thank you to @PhotographyChSB for all of the photos! Check it out if you want to see a summary of the day.
Suspensions and exclusions are up.
Everyone says: 'This is awful. Govt, schools, teachers need to do more!'
My response: 'This is awful. Behaviour needs to change. Tolerance of violence and abuse can't continue to increase. Students can't be taught that things that aren't ok are ok until they are 18 and suddenly 'off you go'. More responsibility needs to be taught and taken by parents and students'
Hurray indeed! 🎉 The weather didn’t stop @ChallneyBoys from participating in @LutonFoodbank Colour Run! Thank you to student, staff and parents for coming! @EnglishHaris @C21Art
Our @ChallneyBoys did a fantastic job representing the school tonight at the Chiltern Musicals concert with their STOMP performance! So unbelievably proud!
A huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff, students, and the entire #ChallneyCommunity for your incredible support in fundraising for our #GazaAppeal. Thanks to your generosity, we raised a tremendous £3600 from our #CultureDay collection! 🙏💖
Thank you to our House Band Musicians for their exceptional performances of Calm Down and Despacito this evening. 🥁🎺🎹
Thank you and well done Nathaniel (7A8), Solomon (8A4) and Jhaidon (8W8)!
What incredible Challney talent! #ACEawards2024
Behaviour Hubs Schools: I’m delighted to announce that 50% of graduated schools have now been inspected by Ofsted.
Of this number (167):
-58% were judged ‘Requires Improvement’ prior to the Behaviour Hubs programme,
-28% ‘Good’
-10% ‘Inadequate’.
Post-graduation, of the 167 schools inspected:
-62% are now ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’
-77% of schools have a Behaviour & Attitudes judgement of ‘Good’
All credit to the lead and partner schools and all their staff for making this happen. And thank you to the advisors and the delivery team for being brilliant.
@tombennett71 I left teaching in Scotland 13 years ago as didn't like all the changes happening to the curriculum. Even then it was referred to as 'The Curriculum for Excrement'!
We had some special visitors in school today. Some of our Challney Gentlemen are taking part in the Pegasus Project delivered by 'Out of Class'. They had such a rewardi56383ng day. We look forward to seeing all the work they do over the next 12 weeks! @ChallneyBoys
Incredible music performance by our 5⭐️ #ChallneyGentlemen and @NYJO this morning.
Amazing sounds made in 4 weeks - thank you to @Challney_Girls for coming along to watch and join in. @MrsQuickEnglish
