@FeHOT_KOP@UKStrokeForum@TheStrokeAssoc@RCOT_NP@NUHStrokeOTs@preston_jenny Hi Fiona π Discharge from hospital for a 4-6 week period depending on need, and to deliver 6 month review. I would also like it to include vocational rehab at some point, to help working age stroke survivors with skills needed to return to work.
@JoThrop@RCOT_NP@FeHOT_KOP@UKStrokeForum@TheStrokeAssoc@NUHStrokeOTs@preston_jenny We have an established in patient service, but no OT in the community for Stroke π¦The service would follow up those discharged after Stroke from our rehab ward, who still have on going specialist OT needs including Vocational. Advice about setting up a new service please π
Looking forward to attending The UK stroke Forum annual Conference in Telford, and meeting other Occupational Therapists and MDT colleagues working in this area π @UKStrokeForum@RCOT_NP@OTstrokeSSNP
@Em_Garratt@strokesnippets@OxfordHealthNHS@OHFTImprovement Hi Emma, myself and my physio colleagues also use timetables successfully. We find them particularly useful to ensure adequate rest periods between therapy. The timetables also really help the patients plan their time π@Em_Garratt
Thankyou for your responses so far regarding what evidence based cognitive assessments are being used for clients following stroke. Looks like the MoCA , ACE lll and BNVR are popular, which are the main ones we use in Guernsey @RCOT_NP@OTstrokeSSNP
Just attended a very intersesting inservice training on the benfits of using social media for professional purposes. Being new to Twitter I found this to be both informative and relevent! Thanks @PeterSmart7496
Looking at current evidence based cognitive screening/ assessments, and would like to hear what is being most frequently used for in Stroke? Thankyou! π@RCOT_NP@OTstrokeSSNP
