The slow death of informational websites is going to create a very interesting problem for Google, because once enough publishers realise there is no point spending hours researching, writing and updating useful articles that Google simply summarizes above their links, many will eventually stop producing that information altogether.
Then the obvious question becomes uncomfortable, because if independent websites stop writing guides, explanations, comparisons, reviews and niche knowledge, where exactly will Google keep getting the fresh information it needs to answer everybody else?
Google may be winning the short game by keeping users on its own pages, but if it destroys the economic reason for people to keep publishing useful information, it could eventually discover that search engines still need somebody somewhere to actually create the knowledge first.
BREAKING VIDEO: Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe becomes the first person ever to win a regular marathon in under two hours, setting a new world record at the London Marathon in 1:59:30!
Kenyans invented running™
There is a reason why William Ruto placed his stooge and tribes mate Nixon Korir at the helm of the Ministry of Lands as the Principal Secretary.
Ardhi House has now become a den of LAND GRABBING and THUGGERY that has seen owners of prime land especially in Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado and Parts of Machakos losing properties in a way they can't understand.
Just like Raphael Tuju's Dari Business Park, this land owner in Runda is losing his land to the Yamune Cartel that is now processing title deeds at Ardhi House like people photocopying some papers!
These are the same reasons why Kenyans must gang up and send anakonda out of power so that we can have an opportunity of reversing and we relocate the Yamune cartel back to their villages with immediate effect!
Ever since I was born I’ve been seeing Orengo in politics, but his politics are politics of poverty. He’s not a reformist and he has no development track record.
Orengo has the heart and spirit of leading people into poverty... instead of misleading Gen Z to go back to the streets, he should start with his own children.
You can choose to burn your brain cells by listening to Rigathi Gachagua and his old, boring, clueless and idle musketeers - or you can tune into Citizen TV and watch Sam Gituku go through the news with a toothcomb.
In 2027, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Spare us the long explanations. Y'all are quick to defend the government over such issues. But when we are raising isses of rampant corruption, the high state house budget you are quiet!
WHY PRICES HAVE RISEN IN KENYA 🇰🇪 (Simple Explanation)
Fuel prices are going up — and that affects everything (food, transport, rent).
1. What’s causing it?
The short answer: the war in Iran.
Global oil prices have surged:
•Brent crude moved from $60–70 earlier this year
•To over $100/barrel in March–April 2026
•It has already hit $120
When oil goes up globally, Kenya feels it.
2. Why are we feeling it now?
Kenya’s fuel prices lag global prices by about 1 month.
So what we’re seeing now is the impact of last month’s spike.
On top of that:
•In some places, freight costs have gone up 4X
•That increases the cost of bringing fuel into the country
3. What are the new fuel prices?
•Petrol: + KSh 28.69 per litre
•Diesel: + KSh 40.30 per litre
•Kerosene: No change
4. What has the government done to help?
To cushion Kenyans:
•Reduced VAT on fuel from 16% to 13%
•Used the Fuel Stabilization Fund to limit the increase
5. What would prices be without these measures?
Without government intervention, prices would be MUCH higher:
•Petrol: KSh 217.27 (+21.9%)
•Diesel: KSh 236.89 (+42.2%)
•Kerosene: KSh 267.81 (+75.3%)
6. What does this mean?
•Higher fuel = higher transport costs
•Higher transport = higher food & living costs
7. The reality
The war in Iran is real, and its effects are global.
What we need now:
•An end to the conflict
•Stability in global energy markets
A month ago, some predicted prices could rise by 50% —
Thankfully, it hasn’t reached that level.
Bottom line:
This is not just a Kenya issue — it’s a global shock hitting our local economy.
You are one of the dumbest people on earth, my district is literally a majority white district. Your conspiracy theories are laughable and should have no place in a society that cares about facts.
I have a question, and do not tell me I speak from a point of privilege. How is that an individual can maintain the walkway of his hotel to this standard yet the Government: National or County cannot make roads? It is worse when an area MP rose to be Governor and Speaker of Senate. Hu sio ujinga, ni upumbavu!
