Imagine trying to fill a bucket with a hole at the bottom. No matter how much water you pour into it, the bucket never fills. Every drop that goes in finds its way out again.
I’ve often found that our finances can follow a remarkably similar pattern. Many people work incredibly hard to increase their income, believing the next raise, the next business opportunity, or the next source of income will finally give them the financial breathing room they’ve been searching for.
Yet as income grows lifestyle inflation often follows. Their spending rises to match the level of earnings, leaving little room for wealth to accumulate.
This is why increasing your income, while important, is only one part of the equation. Lasting wealth is built when your financial habits allow your income to accumulate instead of quietly disappearing month after mont
Perhaps the most valuable financial question isn’t, “How can I earn more?”
It’s, “Where is my money going?”
Just as a bucket begins to fill once the leak has been repaired, wealth begins to grow when your financial decisions consistently support the future you’re trying to create.
"Someone will start with more money than you. Someone will get into a better school. Someone will inherit connections you need to build from scratch. Someone will get picked before you. In other words, you’ll have no problem finding people with a head start.
You can't change your past, but you can reframe it.
Find the lesson in it. Find the opportunity in it. Pull the teachable moment out of it and share with others.
You can't choose your history, but you can choose the story you tell about it.
Exploration is how you discover what works.
Persistence is how you make the most of what already works.
What does your situation require? More exploration or more persistence?
This makes no sense. Why do they have to post bail? Why not release them on their own recognizance? This idea that those the court is required to presume innocent *must* nonetheless pay to be free is a horrific outgrowth of UKoloni.
Now that we are already discussing Supplementary Appropriations Bill I 2024/25 already, what can we expect?
The National Treasury, via advisory to the Clerk of the National Assembly dated June 19th, 2024, had already hinted at areas of possible budget cuts if Finance Bill 2024 ran into headwinds.
Which were the areas & what would the cuts as indicated then mean for the 2024/25 allocation?
A 🧵

2. You are right.. the impact of power blackouts in the country is bigger than JKIA.
3. If Kenya Power has failed to supply consistent electricity, it should be stripped off its monopoly powers and other players allowed to compete equally.
The person you evolve into in five years depends on:

Today, we commemorate President Nelson Mandela’s birthday. Such is his towering legacy that it is a day celebrated around the world, with its international observance having been declared by the United Nations in 2009.
This is in testament to his role as a revered statesman, unifier and above all, as a peacemaker.
