📉 Rebuilds are only fun when they work.
For every dynasty 🏆 there’s a club that rises too early and falls short when it matters.
Why some AFL rebuilds lead to flags … while others quietly collapse? 👀

@PatrickRyen He wasn’t perfect by any stretch, but as you said, he made decisions others were too afraid to make. All the best to him and his family, it’s been one hell of a ride. Hopefully this releases some of the pressure on the club.
@SilverTopHurls@jacksondavey For me this guy sums up everything very simply, when Scott talks about stability, this guy describes the outcome of that as cohesion, it’s everything we don’t have at the moment and time and stability are the only cure

@Reeby03 @Bombers_Boss 1 other, Geelong had their captain, Leigh Colbert, leave at the end of 1999 for North Melbourne. The Cats did very well out of the trade
@Bombers_Boss@DonCaldwelll I agree, list turnover is necessary and inevitable for a variety of reasons . But things can turn around quickly, the second half of 2016 was a disaster for the Tigers, 2020 was a horror season for the Demons. A bad season doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path.
@RonnyLerner It's disapointing, I'll miss him, it's tough being a Bombers supporter atm. But...
When Thompson broke the Cats drought only 5 players in the GF team predated his arrival at the club
For the Hardwick/Tigers - 4
For Goodwin/Demons - 3
For Fagan/Lions - 3
What does that say?
@PatrickRyen Thanks Patrick, I absolutely hate where we are at the moment, but if we tried to change course now, no decent coach would come near us for a very long time.
@CraiG_Mc I agree, he was impressive, we could have done with someone like him at the helm years ago. So many poor decisions and appointments after Sheeds was moved on.
@JonathanJWalsh@JamesLowrie24@MarkLaRosa__@DCobba6@PrinceISname We’ve got to settle on a plan and see it through, the Tigers lost 7 of last 9 in 2016, including a game where they only scored 3.5 and they lost the last game to Sydney by 116, then they win 3 of the next 4 flags. It can change quickly if you take your time.
