@Mavic@sigmasports checking the rear Cosmic SLR 45 (2.5 weeks old use) before they are returned for inspection (issues on previous posts, I broke the front rim using a tyre lever to change a tyre). Appears to be a stress crack on rear & dents inside rim????
Especially a 2.5 week old top of the range £1800 set! The excuse not covered under warranty because you broke the rim using a tyre lever changing a tyre” are wheels once only throw away use after first puncture? & when you can see the “New” UD2 layer peeling away!!!
@Elmsy1664 @sigmasports@NigelSmall13@Mavic Hi bud, it was a level I was changing the tube after 2 rides on them, piece of carbon broke off, then a local wheel builder who trues my wheels noticed all the other issues. But yes the new UD2 layer is coming away & raised in various places so any pressure would break it.
@Mavic@sigmasports 2 week old Cosmic SLR45, New UD2 rim broke, wheel not finished correctly, sharp raises edges. Mavic won’t honour warranty “you broke the wheel using a tyre lever to change a tyre”!! Wtaf. 2 mechanics seen it and shocked at standard, you can clearly peeling off
@Mavic Mine broke changing a tyre, 2 weeks old, you want uphold the warranty stating “you broke the rim yourself changing a tyre with a tyre lever” UD2 layer peeling away, raised sharp above rim in places. Are you not meant to be able to change tyres oh & was using a mavic lever.
