Matvei Michkov says he did roll his ankle this summer and it did affect his offseason training - he wanted everyone to know not scoring and no assists in the first three games is not correlated to the injury. Stressed not needing a lot of time to get back on track.

We have Konecny until he's 36, Sanheim until he's 35, Vladar until he's 35, Dvorak until he's 35, Couturier until he's 37.
I promise. Larkin until he's 34 is not a wide departure from the norm.
You just made the playoffs (and the second round, at that) and a serviceable 1C literally just requested a trade.
If Daniel can't make THAT work, closing is truly beyond him.
The Flyers took a big risk on O'Brien, who spent his draft year beating up high-schoolers. After the draft he went to college, took a year to beat up British Columbian junior players, and then finished his degree. He's a financial advisor now.
Bitching about a 5-year extension queued up for Vladar is pure comedy.
Guy pieced together the best full season (+ playoffs) by a Flyers goalie in over half a decade and still entering his prime.
Casual radio guys know best tho! Heโs not โthe guyโ because of the Canes series ๐ญ

Compared to last season with better players added this season. Defensively by the numbers they were better in medium to low danger chances but not by the biggest margin.
As much as Michkov has to prove to the Flyers and the fans that he can put the work in this summer and come into camp ready, Tocchet has to prove that he can coach offence and get the most out of his skilled players. The Flyers offence this season was stagnant to regressive 1/2
An ESPN article titled โWhich under-25 NHL players need a change-of-scenery trade?โ with Michkov as the cover photo?
Itโs over.
The Matvei Michkov era in Philadelphia lasted all of 2 seasons.
Itโs actually over.
Rick Tocchet did this. Rick Tocchet only.
Decided to do a deeper dive into some of the top young players that could be good bets for teams after theyโve failed to meet expectations with their first NHL teams or never been given a fair opportunity to begin with.

"There are so many details of Matvei Michkov's game lacking...but he is not the player you think he is...This is a hard summer for him...ball's in his court."

Yes I'm posting the FULL DEBATE between myself and Al!
If forced to make a choice: Should the #Flyers keep Michkov or Tocchet?
