When Mark Pope was hired, one thing I never thought I would hear myself say is, “Poorly coached”, but that’s what is looks like at this point. Disappointing.
@wildcatnews@UKCoachStoops It blows my mind that anyone would ask this question. It was time for a change, yet we can still celebrate his accomplishments. It seems pretty simple to me.
@AdamZagoria My Grandpa used to call this “Cutting your nose off to spite your face”. They’re afraid he’s going to take players with him. I’m fairly certain that’s going to happen regardless if he coaches these playoffs, or not.
@newheightshow@tkelce@JasonKelce This isn’t an exaggeration. I once played against him in a softball tournament, and he picked the ball up against the fence in the outfield (320 ft) and threw at the runner at the plate, and threw a dart straight into the back stop. Craziest thing I’ve ever seen on the field.
@KySportsRadio Per 247’s database, Mark Pope has signed one (1) recruit ranked in the top 100 out of high school in his tenure at BYU
Breakdown by 247’s star rankings of every HS recruit in his tenure:

3-stars: 8
Not rated: 5
Enjoy guys!
The only thing I’m bothered by is next year. Going to have to hit the portal hard. Regardless, we’ll be well coached and the NIL support will be good.
This shouldn’t be compared to KP. He had zero head coaching experience.
