Gov. Pritzker who presides over the state with the highest state and local taxes in the US and who raised taxes $6.4 billion since taking office despite $14 billion in Fed COVID relief, while each neighboring state lowered taxes, is in no position to lecture anyone about taxes.

The Governor of the highest taxed state that has seen the third largest exodus of residents among states the last decade and whose state employment growth since 2019 has been only in government jobs is attacking the President’s use of reciprocal Tariffs, calling them tax increases.

Reciprocal tariffs are intended to bring foreign tariffs down. Foreign tariffs are often twice ours and are primarily responsible for our $1 Trillion annual trade deficit on goods alone and the export of 6.7 million US manufacturing jobs which is effectively shrinking our middle class.

Does the Governor realize that since 2000 the number of Illinois manufacturing jobs has fallen from over 900,000 to less than 600,000?

Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.
