Honest thoughts on life, work, fatherhood, ambition, anxiety & trying to figure it out. writer of the Overthinkers Club
I've spent years overthinking business ideas, money, fatherhood, work, films, games, AI and whether I locked the car 3 days ago. So naturally I started a newsletter. First post live -https://t.co/9R2W26fTv3
A month ago I had absolutely no idea how to make a game.
Tonight I changed a white triangle into a spaceship for my top-down space salvage extraction game (what a niche, ha).
It’s still ugly.
It’s probably coded terribly. Yellow flags means it works. Haha
And half the time I break things I fixed yesterday.
But it’s becoming a real game.
One tiny step at a time.
If you’re a father in your late 30s trying to build a better life while pretending you’ve got everything figured out…
You might recognise some of this.
Went to watch Karate Kid: The Musical.
A story of a kid becoming best friends with a 70 year old man.
Going to Back to the Future musical next month.
A story of a kid becoming best friends with a 70 year old man.
Can’t wait until we get Up the musical.
You know that feeling when a moment is absolutely perfect.
Then for absolutely no reason your brain goes:
“Yeah but one day this ends.”
What’s that about?
Overthinkers. Quick question.
Is it overthinkers?
Over thinkers?
Over-thinkers?
Asking for absolutely no reason whatsoever. 🫠

One is the new Ferrari Luce costing £500K.
The other is the Nissan Leaf.
Only one has enough space for a toddlers bike, snacks and 400 loose raisins.
I know which one I’m choosing.
What about you?
