Hey #writerscommunity , I'm looking to follow fellow writers here on X, aspiring to traditional publication. Especially fellow Horror Writers, but all genres of fiction really.

I'm not personally querying anything atm, long ways away, but I'd still like to follow your journey!

Definitely don't think it's DEI, I think she's just a huge deal rn and again, the girl can act. Studio is trying to capitalize on that.

@johnson_ja16567 @Randomvideos107 Kinda seemed like he was trying his best to de-escalate but didn't want to step out of his vehicle with two on edge trigger happy cops who clearly think he's some killer. Lady cop escalated the situation to an insane degree. She should be fired. Too panicky for the job.

@Anotherturner @Randomvideos107 He has his hands on the wheel the entire time. He was calm and polite and cooperative. They asked him to exit the car, which he saw as an unnecessary escalation considering the gun was in his trunk, and so he requested the supervisor. The cops then escalated. Are you insane?

If you were in Bear's shoes, in #Obsession , what would you do to resolve the issue after the wish had already been made?

@Ducky_Szymanski I know that LRG released Clock Tower on a USB. Had a cool little case and everything. And they make those plastic cases for usb drives. I know some people use those to DIY pc videogame cases.

@CuccumberShank @NoQuarterSoft @NewBlood @Airdorf Nah, man, it's USBs now. Little game case, with a little USB inside. It's rare but I hope more indie devs lean into it. I'd buy a physical copy of every game I loved if the option were there

@shawnWWrites @WritesCole I wonder where books are more often discovered and bought. In stores, or online? If it's online, I'm not sure B&N is really relevant to the conversation.

@hamecon_ @kevintumlinson @RyanHoliday No they likely don't sell extremely rare books. You CAN purchase that book on Ebay, perfectly legally, though. If you're willing to pay an arm and a leg.

@RyanHoliday Alternatively just visit your public library, or check out a half-priced books, or just Amazon if you're feeling lazy. This feels like a vanity project rather than something serious or helpful. Seriously, what's the goal here?

It's a bit of a stretch calling a book "banned" or "restricted" because you can't stock it in your grade school library. Is Morning Glory Milking Farm a "banned book"?

@pensandpoison Similarly, conservatives tend to embrace AI, particularly AI art, because modern conservatives (not the classical liberals who've been gaslit into thinking they're conservatives) tend to lack any understanding of and/or appreciation for art. To them it's just another product.

@pensandpoison I think it depends on the context. I'd consider myself a Classical Liberal but I think the use of AI to replace artists is dystopian. But in the medical field it could be an incredible game changer. As a tool, AI is great. Not so much as a total replacement for human productivity

@WritesCole I'd never have the time or energy to invest in a podcast, but I'd love to see one similar to that. I'm not typically big on indie, but a podcast highlighting primarily Small Press hidden gems and the occasional breakout indie novel would be cool imo

Finished up The Night Ship by Alex Woodroe recently. Incredibly fun read. There is so much horror talent writing for small press publishing, it's a real shame that nearly all the large horror book podcasts focus mostly on the work put out by big publishers.

@isthisnickvalid @creepydotorg Police, who are paid by taxpayers to 'protect and serve," manipulate/gaslight a child into thinking he killed his sister, ruin his life and psychologically destroy him ... But the "big question" is "why do crazy people exist?"

@NeroGaming01 @creepydotorg Sounds like he was manipulated hard. They literally gaslit him into thinking he did it. Which you can imagine really fucked the kid up for life. Imagine being convinced by authority figures that you did something you can't remember doing. Something awful.

Sounds forced to me
