28 years ago, Karl Bushby left the UK in an attempt to become the first person to circumnavigate the world on foot.
Yesterday, he arrived in Dover for the final leg of his journey to his mother’s home in Hull.
Dear Scott Kirby, CEO of United Airlines and,
UNITED BOARD OF DIRECTORS;
• Edward “Ted” Philip — Chairman
• Brett Hart — President
• Michael Leskinen — CFO
• Rosalind Brewer
• Michelle Freyre
• Matthew Friend
• Barney Harford
• Michele Hooper
• Walter Isaacson
• Edward Shapiro
• Laysha Ward
• James Whitehurst
That Mr. Kirby is still CEO of United Airlines after he ‘pledged’ to make your airlines less safe by hiring ‘diverse new pilots’ instead of the most qualified pilots says that you and the United Board of Directors are dangerously putting passengers at risk!
Even more concerning is Mr. Kirby’s inaction, and United Airlines Board members inaction, NOT firing PRO- HAMAS TERRORIST PILOT IBRAHIM R MOSSALLAM is despicable, racist, and disgusting and another DANGER to United passengers.
I will no longer fly United Airlines and I ask that MY FOLLOWERS NO LONGER FLY UNITED AIRLINES and that they RETWEET THIS FAR AND WIDE!
Sincerely,
Rob Schneider
Former Customer of United Airlines
The "May Incident" in 1943 was a WWII operational breach where Congressman Andrew J. May (D), chairman of the House Military Affairs Committee, returned from a tour of the Pacific where he'd received sensitive military briefings. At a press conference, May revealed that American submarines were surviving Japanese attacks partly because Japanese depth charges were generally detonating too shallow, allowing U.S. submarines to dive beneath the most dangerous explosions. Newspapers across the country published his remarks.
The disclosure infuriated Vice Admiral Charles A. Lockwood, commander of the U.S. submarine force in the Pacific. Japanese depth-charge settings subsequently became deeper, and Lockwood famously remarked that May would be pleased to know that the Japanese were now setting them deeper. After the war, Lockwood estimated that the indiscretion had cost the Navy TEN submarines and about 800 officers and men.
