I see ridiculous articles all the time written by so-called Bourbon Experts, but this takes the cake. Suggesting $189 is mid-price and you can just buy Pappy 23 is laughable and not at all helpful to people looking for actual gift giving advice. #Bourbon

@ThatEricAlper "You Don't Care for Me Enough to Cry" by John Moreland. One of the greatest musicians that most people have never heard of.

@TaylorCope1982@greenriver1885 Tastes like it needs about 2 more years in the barrel. Coincidentally, that's exactly what Green River Wheated Bourbon is and it tastes delicious. Also worth noting that they are basically the same price.
@TaylorCope1982 I love MGP, but they've screwed up standard Remus and Rossville stove the very beginning. They should have been using their size/volume to set the MSRP at $30. At that price they would be very competitive.
Just wanted to take a moment to appreciate @obky_bourbonite. He has read more than 400 books on whiskey and booze generally and is a phenomenal resource for this community, in addition to just being an all-around great guy. If you haven't followed him already, please do so. ππ₯
@TaylorCope1982 Haven't moved on from it, but I'm buying more tequila these days. You can find some of the best tequilas in the world just sitting on a shelf. No hunting, no lotteries, no standing in line. And there are more great tequilas available than ever before.
@TaylorCope1982 It's about $99 around me, and a hard pass at that price. Beam's size gives them the ability to sell this product at a much lower cost and still make a hefty profit. They've chosen to go for the money grab because they know someone will but it in today's ridiculous bourbon market.
