@BStulberg@paulg@nntaleb I agree that’s a major part of NNTs point.
Consuming the content, being awake while audio is read, or flipping the pages is very different than deep consideration, meditation, and absorption of the material.
It’s a head scratcher why Lex would set out on this campaign.
@BStulberg@paulg I can understand why Lex would want NNT on his podcast and why NNT would turn him down.
Just because you could be on a podcast (or have someone on your podcast) doesn’t mean you should.
Just because you can read/listen to a book doesn’t mean you should.
@BStulberg@paulg Reading through the comments, my “spot it ya got it” sensor is going off.
Pointing and saying “superiority, hiss” or “marketing, hiss” tells me more about the pointer than the folks in question.
.@TaylorPearsonMe loved the reminder of your SOP process. Wondering what, if anything, has changed over the years. I suspect software like loom might be in the equation. Am I right? Any other major modifications?
@nbaschez Oh, and last one, for months ~2-4 the on duty person would actually sleep in the guest room to give the off duty person as good sleep as possible. This was a luxury but made a HUGE difference. It’s so hard to pretend you don’t hear the monitor and keep sleeping
@nbaschez After that, it got a lot easier for us. We now alternate “on duty” nights where one of us is tracking the monitor, handles the diaper change, etc.
Hope for the best. And give the whole process grace. It’s a wonderful thing to hold your baby in the wee hours of the night.
@nbaschez My wife breastfeeds our baby. The first month or so, the goal is 5hours of sleep. We ran in shifts. I went down as close to 9 as I could, and was up at 2ish. She went down at 2ish and I tried to keep the baby sleeping, happy, or quiet until his 7am breakfast.
@nbaschez So much relies on the baby/mother connection in the early days. There’s no telling how that will go. If you’re playing to breast feed lactation consultants before birth, at the hospital and again the first couple of days after birth. Then again a couple of weeks after. For sure.
When the lightning of an idea strikes you, what do you do?
A) catch it in a bottle (ie take notes, dream, buy domains, grab handles)
B) use the energy to jump start a dead battery and get an engine running? (Ie quickly test it, find a collaborator, find a customer)
C) other
@50to1method hitting you on twitter because it seems like your IG dms would be crowded. Using IG/twitter I still can’t figure out what the 50 to 1 Method is.
Inquiring minds want to know!?
