I'd like for you to actually use your brain and think before you speak.
Let me lay out a scenario for you.
tracer from overwatch has 3 blinks
cassidy has 1 flashbang
That's what makes it balanced. 1 flashbang is all it takes to win the duel. Now if cassidy had 3 flashbangs, we'd be in a game destroying nuclear code red meltdown balance situation.
Genuinely why do people point misogyny anytime you flame kiriko mains. It's so dumb. misogyny exists in video games, but this is not it.
Anyways. We need to gigabuff all dive heroes, including Genji, and anybody who disagrees is a racist.
See how it sounds?
@KevadoX "misogyny" okay bro. While we're on the subject, we should gigabuff genji and all dive heroes, and if you disagree with me, then you're a racist.
Its the tank players that DO want to go back to 6v6. Dear fucking god.
As for the "its not kiriko mains" take...
Having higher base hp makes most punishment windows completely inaccessible. having higher base hp also gives you more time to get your cooldowns for survival. As for the cooldowns themselves, just look at zarya. She can bubble herself twice in 5v5. Meanwhile in 6v6 she has less base hp and can only bubble herself once.
To be honest the 5v5 and 6v6 debate comes down to what you want out of the game.
If you prefer the intricacies that make hero shooters beautiful, balance, and skill being more valuable than hero selection, then you'll prefer 6v6.
If you prefer simply getting fast games and want less big plays to be made, you'll prefer 5v5.
Also quick correction, but supports aren't healbots in 6v6. It just requires skill to find the opportunities to make plays as support rather than just being spoon fed free value for cd dumping the tanks. Back in OW1, the highest ranked support mains would always tell people to NOT be healbots, because healbotting back then would never get you to high elo.
Idk why 5v5 players just ignore literal historical facts about the game.
The 5v5 and 6v6 debate deadass just comes down to what heroes you play and what theyโre better in. For example Mercy is the most fun hero in 5v5 and genuinely horrid to play in 6v6. Meanwhile Juno is landslides more fun in 6v6. Support just feels healbotty in 6v6 too
@Handsum_devill By the game. You have far more hp and cds in 5v5 that bail you out at the skill floor of the game for free, because no tank in 5v5 has a reasonable amount of hp that would allow them to be punished for a misplay.
"You dont want supports to have damage" = "I think Luna should do more dmg than hela"
"You dont want supports to have survivability" = "CND should be able to cycle 3 cds and be invincible"
"You dont want strong supp ults" = "Gambit ult was balanced"
These points are so stupid lol
@DrinkMeSlowly as a player in top 500, I wholeheartedly agree with you. I just want to push back on the notion that the game should be built for low elo players, because someone might also extend that to game balance itself. Game balance itself should absolutely not be for casuals.
well yes because its true lmao.
5v5 picks and chooses who gets to have fun and who doesnt. If you're having fun, chances are you main kiriko. If you're not, chances are you main tank.
6v6's natural symmetry means things can be more relative to one another, and all roles are allowed to enjoy the game. It doesn't force the devs to pick favorites.
You get bailed out more in 5v5 as tank.
Because tanks in 5v5 are the sole frontline presence, they are built to survive 100 percent of the aggression 100 percent of the time
Tanks in 6v6 are built to survive off of their cooldown management, positioning, and playing off of one another.
If anyone is hosting a podcast or debate for 5v5 vs 6v6 in Overwatch, PLEASE INVITE ME.
I WILL BE THE WARRIOR THAT FIGHTS FOR 6V6.
I would host it myself, but im not a big enough streamer unfortunately and I don't have a wide enough influence to gather people who might be interested. #overwatch
@erikkarlsson23@FearMister 1: people are playing 6v6
2: the reason not as many people are playing is because of the lack of role queue + it's not the main gamemode + it isn't balanced for 6v6 + it receives less support than other gamemodes
@FearMister I agree. I've seen all of the group up debates as well as a few other overwatch podcasts. I've even been on a podcast myself though it was much more niche, and centered around Genji.
