I truly understand how you feel…and that’s exactly why I chose to apologize publicly because the disrespect became public. On that call I didn’t even mean to call you that, I didn’t mean any harm.. There’s a difference in what I said vs what I meant. What I could have said was you was too forgiving and gave too much mercy in that situation.. But it was a heated conversation and I let my mouth get the best of me. When the call came out I was eight months pregnant, had just released my album, and was extremely overwhelmed and emotional. Thats not to excuse what I said but to let you know where I was in my head. I genuinely felt bad about what happened. In 2025 and 2026 I made multiple attempts to connect…I spoke with your manager, your sister, and even texted you directly to take full responsibility. I always had love and respect for you ! I always wanted to make it right but making it right looks different for the both of us… I wanted to connect with you but you wanted to address it on your album
I’m not goin to say too much on the Chennedy Carter situation bc I don’t want to pile on. Still, I hope she remembers that someone stood up for her when no one else did, fought to get her another opportunity, put their own name and reputation on the line for her, and stuck their neck out for her.
I have several aunts, but one in particular has worked for the Post Office for 32 years. Family, friends, and everybody would ask her to help them get on bc she had a lot of pull. Her answer was always with no hesitation, “hell no” lol. She would say, “If you don’t do right, it’s my name and reputation that’s goin to be messed up.” And she stood on that. She didn’t care who got mad or whose feelings were hurt behind it bc she was dead serious.
When I think about this situation, that lesson comes to mind. A lot of ppl won’t put their name on the line for someone bc they understand what’s at stake if things go left. It’s bigger than just one person, it affects the ppl who believed in you, advocated for you, and gave you an opportunity when others wouldn’t.
When you vouch for someone, you’re putting your credibility on the line too. And I hope that Carter really thinks about that.
#wnba@wnba this shit is so annoying I missed the game that was on league pass. Why tf do you have to wait until 6 AM. The next morning to watch it, this is ridiculous. You should be able to watch as soon as the game go off.
