@MattVincenziPGA Too many people have enjoyed the benefits of modern equipment to take a step back. Yet at the same time the pro game is far less interesting when the skill of driving the golf ball is no longer a meaningful separator at the highest level. Bifurcation is the only realistic answer.
@wefferch@MisterWest77@sportsnweb3@KipHenley Not in the example I gave. But you’re acting like every good shot has to be rewarded. That’s not how golf works — luck is part of the game, always has been.
@wefferch@MisterWest77@sportsnweb3@KipHenley Good shots get punished all the time in golf — there's even a name for it: "rub of the green." What happens if a good shot hits a sprinkler head and ends up in the water? Should you be allowed to place the ball where you think it would have finished?
Patrons handing in their phone at #themasters this year. Some freedom from watching their portfolio get wrecked. Those cheap azaleas are going to hit different.
@SCOREGolf@RBCCanadianOpen@jasonSCOREGolf It's awesome to see Rory supporting the event, even with its unfortunate spot on the calendar. Wish his stance on national opens would be taken more seriously, too. So much untapped potential in making them more of a focal point on the tour.
Love all the triggered anti-rollback people acting like golf will no longer be fun. Great! Quit! Clear up some tee times for the ones who truly love the game. #shrinkthegame#rollback
