An end of an era for me. I started the league with the best intentions. The aim was to bring a more respectable Xbox league to our scene and try to help players be the best they could be.

I may not have achieved that but hopefully most people had fun on the journey.

Its the final week of #TXBPro season 5 and the last week of #TXBPro ever :(

@tonyzentelis I find it easier to work in my local pub restaurant through the day than I do at home. I’m generally most productive there.

@therealcliffyb Granted though the gut reaction is that he is saying games are a waste of time. I just think that taking a moment to think, there are other meanings. Only he knows which meaning he meant. If you know what I mean.

@therealcliffyb There are several ways to read it. They might not have had much money and it was one of the other. He just preferred music and wouldn’t be where he is if he had games instead. Or he has an addictive personality and knows that with games in his life he wouldn’t have achieved this.

@Vile2G @Hxrtella @Szmski The goal of school is not to teach you to make money. It’s to give you the ability to do the basics (as per the maths example) and learn a variety of things to help you decide your future. It’s also helpful for learning social skills, friendships and so on.

@AdamRackis Once you get used to a certain wage, living based in a certain location for the job, having a mortgage that matches it and so on it’s easy to feel trapped eventually when other offers to do something satisfy you mean a big drop in salary as it means a drop in your lifestyle.

@AdamRackis It’s super important to have a job you are motivated in and feel like you are achieving something (for most people). Spending the whole day bored or feeling like you go nowhere can bleed into your personal time without you realising and negatively impact your life.

@ayeejuju It’s a different kind of hard. Physical graft for example does not equal harder work. I would imagine it’s harder to design and and draw the plans for a piece of functional IKEA furniture than it is to put the furniture together by reading the instructions someone gave you.

@deepwithfuture They didn’t put them in the same level, they categorised them as short term, which they are. Buy a house, long term. Rent a house, short term. Save, long term. Buy a lettuce, short term. But that doesn’t mean a lettuce and renting a home are the same level.
