Digital ID: Here is the WEF's plan for you, straight from their website.

Their goal is to create a situation whereby every aspect of daily life—healthcare, banking, food, travel, internet, social media, communications, energy usage, etc—requires a valid digital ID, without which you are locked out.

Once that situation is in place, the conditions of validity can be adjusted to anything they want.

You didn't take the latest experimental mRNA injection? Then your Digital ID is invalid.

You posted something deemed "misinformation" on social media? Then your Digital ID is invalid.

Your social credit score fell too low? Your Digital ID wil be invalid.

You exceeded your monthly carbon allowance? Your Digital ID will be invalid.

You voiced criticism of your new technocratic overlords? Then your Digital ID is invalid.

If governments are ever allowed to succeed in rolling out digital ID—even if it's through the back door via under-16 social media bans—we will find ourselves living in a giant open-air digital prison, from which it will be virtually impossible to ever escape.

Digital ID hands the state unprecedented control. This is new and completely different to a passport or driving licence. We risk making basic freedoms conditional on database approval.

2.⁠ ⁠Voluntary Today, Mandatory Tomorrow?

What starts as "voluntary convenience" will likely mission creep into a compulsory system tied to every aspect of life: jobs, internet access, banking, healthcare, benefits.... risking "social credit-lite."

3.⁠ ⁠Britain Never Voted For This.

It's totally undemocratic. Never in manifesto. 3m signed petition against. Public rejected Blair’s ID cards before - and for good reason.

4.⁠ ⁠Hack Once, Expose Millions?

We all know our data isn’t safe in government hands. Huge digital ID databases will be prime hacking targets, and stolen biometric data can never be replaced. The state's track record - think Horizon, Afghan data breach or Companies House recently - is absolutely dire.

Government Digital ID normalises a "Papers, Please" culture that erodes anonymity and the presumption of innocence.

6.⁠ ⁠Leaves Vulnerable People Behind.

It's almost certain to exclude and disadvantage the most vulnerable, locking people out of aspects of society or services due to lack of access, skills, or system errors.

7.⁠ ⁠Another Billion-Pound IT Failure?

£1.8bn for starters, paid for by cuts to other things. Threatens to become another costly IT failure with huge expense, little benefit. Total costs from Blair's scrapped ID cards were up to £20bn, said London School of Economics.

If you lived through Covid, you'll remember how a form of Digital ID labelled "voluntary" didn't stay that way for long.

Only months ago, Starmer was stating clearly that he'd impose compulsory digital ID. Now he wants to tell us it will be voluntary after all.

Why on Earth would anyone trust that claim?

What begins as a "convenient" voluntary system can quickly mission creep into something much bigger - used for employment, banking, healthcare, benefits, online services, and more - and that's even before moral panics around "public safety" are used.

We fought off "vaccine passports" before and we must do the same again.
