@JimOhSoSpurs I thought it was unlucky to be ruled out as Williams was protecting his face from Tonalis boot. Obviously I'm grateful it was ruled out & on the whole I definitely didn't think we would have deserved to lose the game....but that defensive play was shocking & deserved punishment

@Lilywhite_Rose @mcgrathmike To be fair to Maddison it does seem like refs are quite happy to let opponents foul or be extremely physical towards him, yet would blow up for a similar challenge elsewhere. He was only on for a short time yet spent most of it getting up off the floor !

@enyacollins I didn't get time to watch the 2nd half of this video yet, but my question to anyone wanting us to buy the sort of 10 we can attract right now is 'what happens in 6 months when Xavi is back' ? He'd be better than most 10's we can obtain now, is on big wages & long contract. ???

@AndILoveTheClub That's simply not true, P. Power were 4/1 when I last looked, and the biggest they've ever been is 8/1 , pre Tonali and Fernandes, When they signed it contract considerably as it did with all bookies (Newcastle & Villa losing players at that time also impacted our price))

@JimOhSoSpurs As usual, very well put Jim. Could I also add that a club that's buying a player in this window is not desperate for that player to play in the 1st game of the season. They want to get the right player , who they hope will play successfully in 200+ games not just Brentford away.

@Lilywhite_Rose I have never thought he was that good a player tbh. Anything good he does is individualistic, even for England. Good athlete, not a top 6 PL player. Happy to see him go & happy enough with the fee, I'd be staggered if his replacement isn't significanly more technical gifted .

@Lilywhite_Rose Biggest positive surprises were Kota Takai & Malachi Hardy looking so composed & LBW looking physically up to being a 1st team substitute option. Biggest negative surprise was M.Moore looking like he knows he's going off on loan. Thought all the 'kids' acquitted themselves well.

@RealJohnnyPoker I'm still absolutely gutted that my bets on Gareth Bale to be 'young player of the year' were losers, even though Gareth Bale was voted the 'player of the year'. Defies logic you can be voted the absolute best player in the league but not the best young player in the league !!!
