Changed how I draw, somehow basic forms and shapes went over my head extremely hard. Somehow it was this video, and not the other videos stating similar points before it
Never noticed it, was on the wrong side of art for a bit too long
There's a foreign language movie I watched as a teenager called Malena starring Monica Belluci. She's a woman whose husband is assumed dead during the war and she's basically sexually harassed by the men of the city who all want her and women who hate her for her beauty.
She can't find work, nobody will help her and she's taken sexual advantage of by the men in town.
She eventually has to start sexual relationships with occupying soldiers (N*zis) in order to feed herself and stay alive and when the war is over, the women attack her in the town square and cut off her hair as a humiliating ritual in front of all their husbands who all desired her.
It's always stayed with me.
It's always been a matter of effort and intent, not resources.
All of the extras in Proti Vsem (Against All) look straight out of an illuminated manuscript. There's even depictions of Kastenbrust armor, which is only now getting attention.
It released in 1956.
