YES YES YES
After lots of rain, rollbacks and empty trains, I’m happy to announce that its about damn time.
Third train of the day for me, not as good as first train, front row from last year, but I can’t be more pumped for the season!
@Doctors__TARDIS I believe so. Shouldn’t be so hard - The trains design allow for the plastic components to be “hot-swapped”. Theoretically, from my understanding they can put the nose fairing from Silver and the tail from Black onto Blue.
Yes!

Black train is finally being assembled. A partial chassis with wheels and seats can be seen in the infield from the ride.
Happy Coastermania to everyone celebrating!
Frankentrain Pt.2 Babyyyy
Floor sections from black train on different sections of Blue and Silver. Specifically row 9 on Blue, rows 4 & 5 on Silver.
Wow. Opening week and a full 7 days of relatively reliable operations. Opening day had bad weather and two trains is a little diminishing but otherwise good signs!
Yup!
Still just two trains. No definitive answer onto the situation or the length of INOP.
The good news today is that the Giant Wheel is testing and Cedar Downs is running. 🤞🏼 Magnum (the best coaster in the park) will be operating before CM.
Update on Millennium Force:
The ride’s manufacturer (Intamin) directly supplies the seat belts to Cedar Point, and it has been identified that they are shorter than the manufacturer’s specifications.
We are working with them to replace the belts in the coming weeks.
@CptWilson11 Yes. Since I have lost wait I haven’t had a problem on Millie in years and I haven’t been kicked off anything else at 10 different parks this year; For the first time on Millie it’s not even close… Don’t let anyone gaslight you into thinking otherwise.
We all know the answer…
The level of tomfoolery is reaching new heights. First the original joke of a list, now back tracking and acting like everyone in the world doesn’t want ERT on TT2 or SV…
Our team is hearing you loud and clear and wants your feedback. So let’s make adjustments and make it better.
What would you like to see/add for the coaster event on June 5?
A tuned mass dampener will use a physical weight to offset seismic (or in this case the TT2) forces. The TMD physically oscillates in order to negate the vibrations on the structure.
These strakes do not move, they are fixed and they act to negate the forces of the wind and not the forces exerted by the ride.
For reference; this is the tuned mass dampener that chat was referencing. It’s been well documented both on here, reddit and low level publications. The danger with AI is that it can’t discern new information especially on super niche topics. It will just spit out predigested information and with ability to fact check itself (without human intervention) it’s just a big confirmation bias machine.
More on the sheathing around the structure;
Seems to be very similar to that found on deep sea oil infrastructure. It doesn’t appear to be structural in nature as it’s being held on with hose clamps.
Rather haphazardly, Black train is completely disassembled next to my the old compressor building. Composites for the seats, floors and aesthetic fairings can be seen from the gate in that area. From the ride, you can make out a pile of restraints which appeared to have been removed from the seats entirely. Chassis assemblies, if present, are not located with the rest of the parts.
It would appear that two trains since operations are going to be a multi-week endeavor.
Yes!
Wishing everyone (especially the moms) a very Happy Mother’s Day.
TT2 being an early entry ride this year, is of course open, but curiously only running two trains since the park’s opening yesterday.
Where is black train you might ask? ⬇️
Another example of why trusting AI is problematic…
It can’t crowd source information if the information hasn’t been widely shared online.
As mentioned previously they are very clearly helical strakes to reduce vibration caused by wind. They act as channels to break up wind flow and prevent oscillation from the wind. They are not tuned mass dampeners, such as those found on the up and down portions of the top hat.
