CCTV footage shows an altercation between controversial Nakuru pastor Elias Mutugi Njeru and his wife Florence Wanjiku outside an apartment building on the night of Thursday, 21st November 2024.

Njeru, who surrendered himself to Nakuru police on Monday in the company of his lawyer, is accused by Wanjiku of violently attacking her later that night, allegedly stabbing her multiple times and causing severe injuries, including the loss of several fingers in an incident she described as unprovoked and stemming from a prior domestic dispute.

Speaking from her hospital bed, she recounted how the pastor followed her home after a meeting and assaulted her at the gate, an accusation his legal team says will be addressed thoroughly in the ongoing investigations to establish the full context and truth of the matter.

Njeru is currently being held in custody and is set to be transferred to the Menengai Police Station where the case was initially reported.

His lawyer confirmed that he is cooperating fully with authorities.
