Lloyds and Visa took stablecoin settlement out of the lab

Lloyds (@LloydsBank)settled $750,000 of payment obligations to Visa using $USDC during a seven-day live pilot. Funds reached @Visa in under an hour, even when sent outside banking hours, versus normally a day or more for standard cross-border settlement.

Lloyds ran its own node on @CantonNetwork, and bought the USDC through UK-regulated exchange Archax (@ArchaxEx). Visa handled its side on a separate public blockchain.
