🚨TPD Seeking Person of Interest – Community Assistance Requested 🚨
On Monday, April 13, 2026, after 1:13PM TPD officers responded to an assault shooting at 245 SE 29th St. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries & has since died as a result of those injuries. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
As TPD Detectives continue to actively investigate this case, they are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest:

Kevin was last seen at the end of March in the area of SW 22nd Street and SW Belle Avenue in Topeka.
Description:
• White male
• 5’04” tall
• 130 lbs.
• Gray hair, brown eyes
• Walks with a cane
• Believed to be on foot (no known vehicle)
Kevin may be in need of assistance. If you have seen him or have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Topeka Police Department immediately or call 911.
