At the precise instant the laser winked out—milliseconds after activation—a figure in the rear cargo area became visible for a fleeting few frames: a person in a light-colored shirt, with noticeably protruding ears and a bald or closely cropped head.

This isn't speculation. The timing aligns perfectly with the shot. We can state with 100% certainty: The infrared laser—aimed directly at Charlie at the moment the bullet flew—emanated from that individual in the grey van.
