Stop abbreviating things with newly hired staff who are onboarding. If the name of one of the menu items your company sells is The Big Kahuna, don’t call it the TBK until they’ve been with you for a little while. Or at least give them a cheat sheet for god’s sake.
Wrestling comp: hi & welcome, you will be here for an eternity. It’s kind of like a swim meet but instead of being outside in the sun you will be ass down on a wooden high school bleacher all day.
Cheer comp: hi & welcome, you will be here for… oh, you’re done. Enjoy your day.
My 15yo is just different. Wrestles and weight trains after school for 2 hours, eats everything in sight when he gets home, then wants to go train Jiu Jitsu for 2 hours… after a full school day and getting up at 6:30. Different.
My buddy took a new position as sales rep for a big med supply company. He’s one of the best sales professionals I know because he is hard working but more importantly, AUTHENTIC. Time stamp this bet: he’ll hit presidents club in 2023 and be the top seller in 2024 no question.

My favorite part of The Two Towers is when the people of Rohan are headed to Helms Deep and they’re attacked by the Warg Pack and the music starts and Legolas is firing from long range and hitting all of them then slings himself onto Gimley’s horse…. yes, I am still a virgin.

@maryelizfoster Reluctantly going to noncritical meetings wastes about $25,000 per employee annually, and projects out to ~$100M a year for any org with more that 5k employees… WFH is great, if you work. Meetings don’t always = getting shit done. They’re often productivity theatrics.
