That is the essence of dedication. Oftentimes, we think dedication is a one-time thing. No, dedication is a continuous process! The more you advance in life, the more you dedicate your life and the things you owe to God.
Many of us at one time or another have experienced a time of dedication. It may be at the altar of our church, or perhaps while listening to a radio or television speaker. We may have experienced this time of dedication during our personal Bible study or devotion time.
Has there ever been a time when we have told Him we would be willing to lay aside all that we have ever wanted to do and all we have ever wanted to be in order to serve Him?
today, let us come to Him. Give Him this day to take all your bitterness, regret, trauma, worries, fears, and apprehensions of the future and trade them for the joy and love God has for you today.
No shadow of shame will darken their face.” What overshadows you? Unresolved trauma, bitterness, unforgiveness, sense of shame, sorrow, guilt, timidity, low self-esteem? We are emotional creatures and if we are not careful, our emotions will overshadow us.
We get so busy worrying that we don’t see the darkness that it leaves us in. Instead, God wants to live in His radiant light. He wants us to live each day to its fullest. He has joy for us if we will trust Him for it;
God is pleased, and so are we. David knew this and proclaimed, “I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.” When you trust God as David did, you’d have something new to look forward to in God, God always got someting.
It is hard to relax, I mean to really relax. Why? We say we have faith and yet we are wound up tighter than a spring ready to snap at the next bit of pressure. Perhaps, it is because we are way over our heads when it comes to living life on our own.
