Hesab selected Movement as its exclusive stablecoin settlement layer for cross-border flows.
$160M in monthly volume. 1 million+ transactions per month. The corridors they serve run on informal cash networks with 2-5 day settlement and capital sitting idle in pre-funded float.
Movement provides access to licensed rails across the US, Canada, and the EU. Same remittance, cleared in real-time.
Joe joined @offchain and @base at @MalaysiaBCW to discuss conversion bottlenecks, first-use drop-off, and retention.
Onchain consumer growth gets better when the product gets simpler, friction drops, and feedback loops get tighter.

I messed up.
At our YC afterparty, we offered free tattoos and said weโd be happy to interview anyone who got one. What I thought would be a fun, memorable way to meet people was, in reality, reckless, and instead came across as tying a permanent tattoo to job opportunity, which showed poor judgement.
Even though participants chose their own tattoos and no one was asked to get our logo, I should have understood the pressure and power dynamic created by connecting tattoos to hiring.
Regardless of said intent, turning a celebration of personalized art into a company stunt was poorly exercised judgement. Weโve taken the posts down and have spoken to everyone who participated. Weโre also ready to cover associated removal costs with anyone facing any delayed regret.
Iโm sorry to the people we put in that position, and to everyone who expected better from me. Thereโs no clever explanation here. I got carried away, and I was wrong.
For the facts: interviews were available to everyone regardless.
After a comprehensive review, Aave is deprecating 50 low adoption asset reserves across multiple deployments.
In addition, Aave is orderly winding down deployments on Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos, covering another 25 asset reserves.
As part of this process, 21 matured Pendle PTs are also being deprecated in favour of new maturities.
In total, the changes affect $98.1M in supply and $15.6M in debt.
These measures reduce Aave's economic and technical risk surface as part of the new Aave Risk Framework and Technical Asset Listing Framework.
Aave will continue applying continuous risk assessment for all assets across all deployments.
