@Crash1mill@MichaelRocky11@Noteekitty@hayasaka_aryan This ‘gotcha’ argument fails because it tries to suggest her autonomy somehow reduces the severity of the crime.
It doesn’t.
Murder overrides all choices she had or intended to make.
@Crash1mill@MichaelRocky11@Noteekitty@hayasaka_aryan So constantly bringing up double homicide laws as some kind of “gotcha” against prochoice arguments does not actually prove what people think it proves.
If anything, it demonstrates that consent, bodily autonomy, and legal context matter.
@Crash1mill@MichaelRocky11@Noteekitty@hayasaka_aryan If a person murders a pregnant woman, it can be charged as double homicide. When a woman legally terminates a pregnancy, it is not legally classified as homicide.
That distinction alone shows the situations are not treated as equivalent under the law and definitions.

@Crash1mill@MichaelRocky11@Noteekitty@hayasaka_aryan the question falls apart logically because wanting an abortion does not automatically mean an abortion would happen.
The Turnaway Study itself showed that many women who sought abortions either could not obtain one or later carried to term.
@Crash1mill@MichaelRocky11@Noteekitty@hayasaka_aryan The point of those laws is that the perpetrator does not get to decide the outcome of either life by violence.
It has nothing to do with her choices, she is dead.
She didn’t make that choice. And because she wanted an abortion doesn’t justify the death of the unborn.
@Crash1mill@MichaelRocky11@Noteekitty@hayasaka_aryan Let me clarify: the question itself is coherent, but the logic behind it is incoherent. Whether she wanted an abortion is irrelevant to the fact that she was murdered while pregnant. Her death still removes every choice she had, including the ability to make that decision herself
@Helyyxent@326justride@timruss2 By the way, you are also calling the Bible an idiot. So that is God, Jesus and billions of people over 3000 years? You are calling an “#%?!” idiot for the original meaning.
There are many more verses that says life = breath.
