it pushed me right past the load screen for myplayer. I was able to finish quest and move forward.

Ok if ur game wont let you in at all. Open the game let it freeze after u click ur myplayer. Close the app, open it and soon as it lets u push the ps button click on a friend name from friends list thats already in the city or rec and join the friend.
