@WordsOnFire_ His eyes lingered longer than they should have, and when his door finally closed, he cupped his face in his hands.
He found himself leaning back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling again in thought. What would his life have been like if he hadn't fucked up. He'll never know.
@WordsOnFire_ Hearing that Helen would bring his coffee in, Leo's eyes shot up and cautiously watched the blonde leaving the room.
The pantsuit she was wearing showed off her curves while still looking professional. -
@WordsOnFire_ Her name felt so natural off his lips as he focused back on his computer instead of wanting to bother her anymore.
"Please bring coffee soon, though. My head is starting to pound."
@WordsOnFire_ Gathering his thoughts, he opened his eyes and remained in the present. Clearing his throat, he noticed her move away from him, and his hand reached for the nape of his neck, rubbing slightly.
He nodded at her while speaking. "No… that's all for now. Thank you, Sayge." -
@WordsOnFire_ His brows furrowed as she questioned him.
"No. Not at all. There were some loans taken out that slipped my mind. So you wouldn't have known to account for them. My mistake"
He hasn't realized how many times she was saving his ass over the time she had been with him.
@WordsOnFire_ "Until the foreseeable future. Yes"
He brought his eyes back up to glance over her once again.
Reaching into his briefcase, he pulled out a Manila envelope and reached it out to her.
"Last month's statements need a second glance through. I've looked through them once already"
@WordsOnFire_ Looking back down at the calendar, he continued his thoughts.
"As for Mondays, rescheduled my last meetings of that day. No meetings are to be scheduled after 4 o'clock."
@WordsOnFire_ His jaw clenched. He felt her demeanor as she stood before him. Tense. He knew there was nothing he could say or do to make her more comfortable.
"Thursday mornings, I need all meetings pushed back until 11. I won't be in the office till atleast 9." He stated -
@WordsOnFire_ Pulling out a pen, he ran through his calendar as she spoke.
"Good morning." He kept his words dry and professional as his eyes met hers. He tried his best to hide any type of emotion.
"I need to make some adjustments to the schedule, but first, I need coffee."
@WordsOnFire_ Leo's eyes focused on his computer in front of him as Sayge walked through his door.
Her heels clicking on the floor had his back stiffen up. Months of tension between them was palpable.
